TUESDAY 31st MAY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
There was an air frost with me overnight, the 4th this month (-0.5).    According to Carol K.-- Braemar fell to -2.7.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A day of broken cloud & spells of sunshine. There could be an odd shower around, but these will be fairly isolated. It will feel pleasantly warm in the sunshine, though highest temperatures will be close to normal at 15 or 16 degrees.
WHAT WAS MAY REALLY LIKE?  WAS APRIL ACTUALLY WARMER?    SEE SUMMARY---COMING LATER

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
After a sunny start to the evening, cloud is expected to increase, with some mainly light & patchy rain following (probably the last for some time). Much milder overnight than the night just gone & a freshening S.W. breeze too.

OUTLOOK
WEDNESDAY---Probably an overhang of the night's rain to start the day, but this is likely to be spits & spots only. Later, clouds should break to give some sunny intervals during the afternoon, when it should begin to feel rather warm.
BEYOND---Dry with some sunshine & becoming warm. An area of high pressure @ 1036 mbs centred off E. Scotland will give several days of settled weather, but once E. winds set in, the east coast will be somewhat "bracing"
