FRIDAY 20th MAY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
For the 2nd night, some of the higher sunnits to the W. & N. have had some snow for a while. Pitlochry has had a moderate fall of rain(6.6mms), which gardeners & growers will be pleased about. Daytime maximum temperatures have started to become lower than many days in the previous month & this is likely to continue for some days yet. The South of England still has a massive rainfall deficiency & would  have warmly welcomed the amount of rain we had in the last 24 hrs.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Early morning rain will become lighter & patchier, before dying out. There should then be some spells of sunshine, though with a risk of the odd shower. It will be rather cool & breezy, with highest temperatures around 13 degrees

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Any isolated showers should die out to give a mainly dry, clear night. Lowest temperatures will be around 4 or 5 degrees, with a slight ground frost likely in a few spots.

OUTLOOK
SATURDAY will see the best part of the day in the morning, when it should be dry & bright. Cloud will be increasing & rain will follow during the afternoon. It will yet again be breezy & rather cool, with 13 degrees at best. SUNDAY should be the better day, with broken cloud, some sunshine, but always the risk of a few showers. Cool & breezy at 12 or 13 degrees.
