UPDATE @ 1730Hrs
Many of the higher summits have had snow showers throughout the day. Pitlochry has missed the worst of the showers, with virtually no rainfall. Despite the sunshine, it has been cool, with the maximum temperature of just 13.0 degrees. 23 April days this year bettered that figure!
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some sunshine this evening & clear spells overnight, with only a low risk of a shower. Minimum temperature will be around 5, which is low enough for a touch of ground frost in the most prone locations.
OUTLOOK
Some dry, bright weather on SATURDAY morning, but cloud increasing later, followed by a spell of rain. Highest temperatures no better than about 13 degrees.SUNDAY should be a day of broken cloud with some sunshine & showers & still cool. MONDAY promises to be particularly unsettled, with some rain & strong winds.
