THURSDAY 19th MAY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
A ground frost last night at this site, as well as the wettest 24hr period (0.4mms) for a week!!  The rainfall radar was picking up some snow falling in some of the showers on the summits overnight e.g. on the Cairngorms. Other than that, it is a lovely sunny morning, if a little chilly.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Rather more in the way of sunshine today. Still the chance of an isolated shower this morning, but probably dry this afternoon. Winds still fresh initially, but decreasing with time. Maximum temperature around 14 or 15 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The period should be dry for much of the time, with some clear periods. By dawn, increasing cloud should have brought a spell of rain, lasting into the morning. Not as cold as last night, with minimum around 7 degrees.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY will see some rain for a time during the morning, to be replaced by broken cloud, some sunshine & perhaps a shower or two. It will be breezy again, with top temperature around 13 degrees. THE WEEKEND promises to be changeable with some rain or showers, as well as a little sunshine.Temperatures no great shakes at around 13 or 14 & rather breezy at times.
