THURSDAY 26th MAY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1645Hrs
A rather better day than expected, not only dry, but also a little less cool, with temperatures up to 15.0 degrees, the highest since the16th. The Grampians undoubtedly play a part in helping Pitlochry in set-ups like today's, acting as a barrier to showers or rain areas moving down from the north.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A few light showers cannot be totally ruled out this evening, but amounts are likely to be very small. Much of the night will be dry, with some clear spells. It will end up rather chilly, with a few places having a ground frost.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY is likely to be mostly dry, with broken cloud & some spells of sunshine. Later in the day, there will be an increase of cloud as fronts from the Atlantic bring in some rain from the west  .It is set to be a little warmer, with temperatures around 15 degrees maximum.        THE WEEKEND looks changeable, with some sunshine, but also showers & more cloudy periods with some rain.  Generally rather cool for late May.
