SUNDAY 1st MAY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1700Hrs
Another lovely day, with clear blue skies & temperatures peaking at 18.7 degrees. (Leuchars spent much of the afternoon around 12 degrees, as winds continued to blow off the cold North Sea)

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A sunny evening & a clear night ahead. Becoming chilly again, with many places getting a ground frost & a few just a touch of air frost.

OUTLOOK
MONDAY should be dry with further sunshine. Probably a little cooler at 15 degrees. Thereafter, some more sunshine, though probably not as much as today & also rather cooler. There may, at last, be some rain on Thursday night.

I note that the highest average maximum temperature for April 2011 was in London at 19.8 degrees. This is higher than the normal average maximum temperature for April in places such as Barcelona, Palma(Majorca) & Naples!  Some people probably wish they'd have stayed at home!
