UPDATE @ 1800Hrs
A few showers caught us today, but many more just missed us & several had our name on, according to the rain radar forecast, but died out before they got here.The top temperature was only 13.0 (lower than most April days!). Gusts up to 28mph were recorded(force 6), with worse to come tomorrow, though it may be a touch more severe in the Central Belt.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There could just be another shower within the next hour or so, but that apart, the evening & first part of the night should be fine. Around 0300Hrs, we are likely to see the next rain area arrive, brought by an unusually deep low of 982 mbs. The wind will tend to strenghthen with the rain, though temperatures should stay above 6 or 7 degrees.
OUTLOOK
MONDAY will start wet & windy, though later on, the complete cloud cover will be replaced by squally showers, with some sunny intervals between. It will be cool at around 13 & winds are likely to touch gale force, starting southerly but later becoming westerly. Gusts could exceed 50 mph.
TUESDAY will be windy, with sunny spells & some showers & staying cool.
WEDNESDAY will see another belt of rain & it will remain cool.
