SATURDAY 21st MAY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
A rather cloudy, breezy start & it's all set to go downhill.  Large falls of rain are expected today on the western uplands. Meanwhile S.E.England, especially,  is absolutely desperate for rain.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Low pressure is situated to the west of Ireland & fronts will move NE-wards acoss Scotland. The day will start rather cloudy but dry, with perhaps a little sunshine initially. Later in the morning, there is likely to be some mainly light & patchy rain, which will turn heavier & more persistent this afternoon. It will be cool & breezy, with temperatures no better than 13 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There will be some rain for a time during this evening, but this will clear during the night, with clouds breaking to give some clear spells. Minimum temperatures will fall to about 5 degree, with a ground frost just possible in vulnerable spots.

OUTLOOK
SUNDAY should start mainly dry with some sunshine, but clouds will be building during the morning. There are likely to be showers around during the afternoon. Becoming windy & remaining cool at about 12 degrees.MONDAY threatens to be wet & windy, with sunny spells & showers on TUESDAY. Remaining cool.
