FRIDAY 6th MAY

HEADLINES @ 0845Hrs
Overcast with light rain at present. The rain gauge contains 6.3mms this morning, good news for some of us, but an amount only equal to 10% of average rainfall in May.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
An overcast start, with a little rain at times. This should clear during the morning, with cloud breaking to give some afternoon sunshine. The odd shower is possible. A touch warmer than yesterday, with a maximum of about 17 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A dry start to the period, but rain will spread from the SW to give a fairly wet night. The rain should clear during tomorrow morning. Remaining mild overnight.

OUTLOOK
Saturday morning should see overnight rain soon dying out to give some sunshine. Scattered heavy showers will develop, especially during the afternoon. Rather warm in any sunshine, with a maximum of 17 or 18 degrees
Some further rain seems likely on Sunday..
