SUNDAY 22nd MAY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Have just made the observations in a shower--more to come. There are 9.9mms of rain in the gauge ( a decent fall) & we are now just beyond the May normal rainfall.. There was also a ground frost here.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Rather cloudy at times this morning with a few showers around. Hopefully, there should be more sunshine & fewer showers by this afternoon, though it is likely to become windier. Maximum temperatures are likely to peak at around 13 or 14 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A dry evening is expected with some sunshine. The dry weather will continue for the first part of the night, but later on, cloud will increase with some rain following. Winds from the south will also increase. Lowest temperatures will be around 5 or 6 degrees.

OUTLOOK ---STRONG WIND WARNING!!
MONDAY will start wet & windy. During the morning, clouds should break, giving some sunny intervals but also squally showers. The weather charts will give an impression of autumn or winter, with barometers falling to much lower values than normally seen in May. Winds will approach gale force during the afternoon & evening. It will remain cool.
TUESDAY  will be a mix of bright spells & showers & still cool & windy.   Remaining unsettled thereafter.
