WEDNESDAY 9th FEBRUARY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1630Hrs
An uninspiring day, with low cloud, mist & slight rain or drizzle on occasions. The maximum temperature was only 3.5 degrees. I note(not for the first time) that Dunkeld has snow lying & that the temperature was a degree or so down on Pitlochry's. I wish there were an observer living there to update me on the variations that exist!

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Remaining cloudy this evening, with rain or sleet becoming more widespread after dark. Later in the night, it should become dry, with some cloud breaks. Frost developing later, with minimum of around -2 degrees & bands of mist along the valley.Could be quite icy by dawn.

OUTLOOK
THURSDAY should see an improvement.  Following a frosty start, with icy patches & some mist, it should be a day of broken cloud & spells of sunshine & a maximum temperature of around 3 or 4 degrees. FRIDAY to SUNDAY will remain very changeable, with some cloudy, wet spells, alternating with drier, brighter conditions. It will be generally on the cold side.
