A mainly cloudy day, with periods of rain, much of it fairly light. Far more rain in the west. It was the mildest day of the year so far (8.4 degrees )
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Mainly cloudy, with rain or showers at times, which could well turn to sleet or snow on occasions, as temperatures gradually fall to freezing or a little below. Winds will become strong from the W. There may well be a slight snowfall by morning, with more on the higher parts.
OUTLOOK
Generally very unsettled between now & the weekend. Often windy with temperatures fluctuating, as short incursions of milder air are followed by colder, brighter conditions.
