A dry day, but rather a lot of cloud around. Cold, with the day's maximum only 3.7 degrees.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The evening will be dry, with a few clear intervals & temperatures falling close to zero. After midnight, some rain will spread in from the SW. This could turn to snow for a while, especially on the higher ground, where fresh accumulations are possible. It is likely that most other places, below about 250m will only have sleet or wet snow, eventually turning to rain.
OUTLOOK
Mostly rather cloudy on Wednesday morning, with a little rain on occasions. Probably dry & brighter in the afternoon, but with more rain returning in the evening. Maximum temperature around 5. A mostly dry, bright day expected on THURSDAY, but going downhill on FRIDAY, with rain & stronger winds.
