THURSDAY 24th FEBRUARY

HEADLINES @ 0845Hrs
The rain expected overnight, stalled & fragmented over the western mountains, so enough clear spells here to give a surprise slight ground frost. However, it's now feeling mild (8.4 ), with some patches of clear sky. A great day in prospect for gardening or walking!!

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Generally a fine, dry day, with breaks in the cloud & some sunshine. It will be rather breezy, but mild, with highest temperatures, locally, likely to rech 11 degrees. Dundee & some other E.coast lowland areas could make 14. All in all, one of the best days of the winter!.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Mild, with broken cloud & dry through the evening & much of the night. Some rain is expected before dawn, Lowest temperatures about 6 degrees.

OUTLOOK
Rain at times for much of the morning on FRIDAY. Drier & brighter during the afternoon, with perhaps the odd shower. Still mild, though breezy. The WEEKEND should see a good deal of dry weather, with some sunshine. Temperatures will dip a little from today's values & a slight overnight frost seems likely.
