A nippy start, with the lawn frozen hard. The air minimum overnight was -3.6 & the ground min. was -7.3. Though cloudy, it is reasonably bright, with just some misty lower cloud on the summit of Ben Vrackie.

A frosty start with a layer of medium-height cloud. It should just about stay dry this morning, but from about lunchtime, there is likely to be some patchy light rain or even sleet & this will continue on & off through the afternoon ,with cloud lowering. Temperatures are likely to stay below 3 degrees throughout the period

It will remain cloudy, with the rain becoming fairly persistent & a little heavier at times & probably lasting through until the morning. Temperatures should hold above freezing
