SATURDAY 5th FEBRUARY

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
The temperature rose to 9.9 yesterday evening, the highest value since November 2nd 2010. It did not last long!! The overnight minimum fell to 1.3, with a slight ground frost. The lawn is sort of crunchy, but soggy!
PITLOCHRY TODAY
Variable amouts of cloud, with a mix of some sunny intervals, but also some more cloudy periods with the odd shower or two. Winds will still be fresh from W or SW & temperatures will be a little below normal at 5 or 6 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Dry for much of the time, though an isolated shower is possible which could contain some snow. Winds will be lighter & with some clear spells around too, a frost is likely, with lows of about -1 or -2. Valley mist patches are also probable.

OUTLOOK
Prospects for Sunday are less certain now, as the front that gave us rain on Friday, has ground to a halt over N. England & threatens to return north again during Sunday. Probably after a dry start, conditions will deteriorate, as some rain or sleet moves from the south later.    Monday & Tuesday still look better days.
