UPDATE @ 1630Hrs
It's been overcast throughout, with periods of rain & some sleet for a while this morning (7.3mms fell between 0900 & 1630). Although cold for much of the day, it has now turned milder, following the passage of a warm front, with temperatures up to 8.5 degrees.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Rain is likely to continue for some time yet, probably dying out late evening. The rest of the night should then be mainly dry with broken cloud, possibly the odd shower & falling temperatures, minimum around 1 or 2 degrees.
OUTLOOK
SATURDAY to TUESDAY should be mainly dry, possibly an odd shower. There will be broken cloud & some sunshine. It will be rather cold by day, with a slight frost likely overnight.
