THURSDAY 24th FEBRUARY----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1700Hrs
February days don't come much better than today, though some might say there wasn't enough sunshine. The highest temperature recorded was 11.8, some 5 degrees above the normal & the town's highest temperature since late October.   By late afternoon, there were more cloud breaks & some attractive altocumulus clouds in the sky.


THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A dry evening & for much of the night, but a short spell of rain is likely towards dawn. Temperatures staying well above freezing.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY should be another good day weatherwise, after any early rain.   There will be broken cloud & sunny spells, with only a small risk of a passing shower. Temperatures should be back in double figures again.  The WEEKEND looks promising, with sunny spells & just the chance of a passing shower. Temperatures will drop back, more towards normal & there could be a touch of overnight frost.
