A gorgeous day, with hardly a cloud in the sky. The highest temperature reached a respectable 15.2 degrees( This is warmer than the mean maximum temperature for MAY)
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A sunny evening & a mainly clear night. There may be some cloud around by dawn. Lowest temperatures will fall close to freezing & most places will receive a ground frost. A few vulnerable spots may get a touch of air frost.
OUTLOOK
There is likely to be rather more cloud around onTHURSDAY, though still with some sunny spells. Up until SUNDAY, the weather is expected to stay dry(looks as though we are stuck on 26.4mms gardeners & growers, as our April total), with further spells of sunshine. Daytime temperatures will reach around 14 degrees, but expect some ground frost overnight.
