MONDAY 18th APRIL---EVENING

UPDATE @ 1700Hrs
A dry, but partly cloudy day with some spells of sunshine during the afternoon. It was again much warmer than a normal April day, the maximum of 17.3 being close to the normal for a day in JUNE; we really are doing very well!

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There is just a chance of a shower this evening (there are some--mainly light--over Edinburgh, Fife & Dundee, tracking in our direction)  Overnight should be dry with variable amounts of cloud & some clear spells. There may be some early morning mist patches & a touch of ground frost in prone spots. The general air minimum should be around 5 degrees.

OUTLOOK
TUESDAY should be dry for much of the time, but again there is a shower risk during the day. It will be partly cloudy with sunny intervals & highest temperatures should reach about 16 degrees. THE REST OF THE WEEK continues to look promising, as high pressure dominates. Daytime temperatures seem likely to reach above April normals. Little rain, if any, is likely to fall.
