FRIDAY 22nd APRIL

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
It feels chilly this morning, following a slight ground frost & with an 8/8ths low cloud cover. Yesterday, Heathrow reached 26.3 degrees

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Low cloud should clear quickly during the morning to leave mainly clear skies & sunny spells. The maximum temperature should reach 19 degrees.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The evening & first part of the night should be dry, with clear skies at first. Later in the night, a band of showery rain on a cold front,  is likely to spread from the west.

OUTLOOK
WEEKEND.  Sad to say, it is starting to become less settled, as pressure starts to fall & a westerly set-up begins to establish. This means a weekend with rather more in the way of cloud, less sunshine & more chance of some showers. Temperatures, though still above average, are likely to be down on what we have become used to. There will still be some dry spells, so not all negative!
