AVERAGES & EXTREMES RECORDED IN PITLOCHRY OVER THE PAST 35 YEARS + IS SCOTLAND STILL ON A WARMING TREND?

APRIL IN PITLOCHRY
During an average April, days are likely to average about 3 degrees higher than in an average March, but nights about 1.5 degrees higher.
Over the month as a whole, the mean maximum temperature is 11.3 degrees, the mean minimum 2.7 degrees.
The highest temperature on record was in 1984, when the thermometer reached 23.5. The lowest maximum on record was 3.2 degrees in 1994.
The highest minimum temperature on record was 10.1 degrees in 1999. The lowest minimum was -5.7 in 1988.
The average rainfall in April is 49mms, making it the driest month of the year on many occasions. The wettest year on record was2006, with a total of 102mms(January & October are wetter than this in an average month).The lowest April rainfall total was just 2.8mms back in 1980.
