FRIDAY 1ST APRIL----EVENING

UPDATE @ 1700HRS
Most of what little rain there was today, fell this morning, but it was disappointing to find it remained mostly cloudy this afternoon. It was, nevertheless, mild with a high of 15.0 degrees (Inverness clocked 18, as the air flow descended the Grampians & gained warmth )

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A mainly cloudy, but dry start to the evening, but clouds will thicken & lower later, with rain starting this side of midnight & persisting on & off through the night. Temperatures should hold up at about 6 degrees.

OUTLOOK
SATURDAY will start cloudy with rain. There should be evidence of an improvement by the end of the morning, with sunny spells & perhaps the odd shower during the afternoon. It should still be mild, with a top temperature of about 12 degrees.  SUNDAY should be a day of sunshine, but also one or two heavy showers. It is likely to be a touch cooler at about 10 degrees.
