WEDNESDAY 14th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1745Hrs
A pleasant day, with some sunny spells, though on the windy side. At least good for a walk or doing those jobs in the garden. Tomorrow looks promising too, though there will be a nippy start following overnight clear skies. Not as windy. Today's highest temperature was 14.7.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Just the chance of a passing light shower around 1830 ish, otherwise dry & becoming clear during the night, with winds dying down.Clear skies & light winds on an Autumn night spell cold by dawn. Minimum temperature around 4, possibly 0 or slightly lower on the ground in some flat, frost-prone spots.

OUTLOOK
THURSDAY----Dry with broken cloud & some sunny spells following a chilly start. Plenty of dew on the lawns. Highest temperature 15 or 16 degrees, which is close to normal.
FRIDAY----Rain spreading from the west, as several fronts, linked to low pressure, pass over Scotland
At present, Sunday looks the better day of the weekend, but more detail nearer the time.
