MONDAY 5th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1645Hrs
Proof today, that some essentially unsettled "westerly"days can actually turn out rather pleasant. The showers kept away & the sun broke through in generous supply. Highest temperature was 17.3.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Mostly dry & bright this evening, though the predictive radar is showing a shower to come. Cloud will generally increase later, followed by rain starting around midnight. It will then be a wet & increasingly windy night. Mild, however, at about 10 at lowest.

OUTLOOK
TUESDAY----More cloud & less sunshine than today. There are likely to be showery periods & even some spells of more general rain. It will be cool & windy, maximum temperature about 15 or 16.
WEDNESDAY----Bright, breezy & cool, with cloudy patches, with a shower or two & some sunny intervals. There may be another spell of rain overnight.
