MONDAY 12th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1800Hrs
Pitlochry appears to have got off lightly as far as the predicted high winds are concerned. I've had a look at the 1700Hrs reports of wind gusts from a number of Scottish stations, but my impression is that things could have been a lot worse. Anyway, best check the Scottish evening news to check what disruption there might have been. Rainfall today was 4.3mms, while the highest temperature was 14.5.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Windy throughout the night, with some veering of direction towards W or WNW. Still the likelihood of some more rain, but with time there should be more in the way of dry spells. Minimum temperature 9.

OUTLOOK
TUESDAY----Still windy, but some easing by afternoon. Most of tomorrow's rain will stay further west, with the chance of a few brighter spells here. Nevertheless, it will be rather cloudy at times & some showery rain may find its way across the mountains. Cool at about 14 or15.
WEDNESDAY----Some spells of broken cloud & a few sunny intervals, with less wind, but there could well be some cloudy patches producing a shower or two.
