FRIDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
There was even less rain than forecast for this morning, while lunchtime & early afternoon gave a delightful interlude of broken cloud & sunny spells in which temperatures rocketed. The rest of the afternoon returned to a cloud sheet. Top temperature was a rather warm 17.5.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There is likely to be some rain overnight, with winds likely to pick up from the south. The rain should be clear by morning. Minimum temperature around 9 degrees.

OUTLOOK
SATURDAY----It should be a pleasant Saturday, with broken cloud & some sunshine. It will be a bit on the breezy side, but temperatures should top 16.
SUNDAY----Still some dry & bright weather around, though rather windy. Temperatures similar to Saturday. Conditions will deteriorate by night-time with strong winds & a spell of heavy rain ,as active fronts affect the area from the south west.
