MONDAY 12th SEPTEMBER

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Peaceful at present, but again, pretty miserable, with overcast skies & drizzle. The wind is set to be at its strongest  around late afternoon to mid-evening, but indications are that conditions will be more severe in & south of the Central Belt. Neverthe less, it may well be worth "battening down the hatches " (I've taken in the garden table & chairs----not that they've been used this summer!! )

PITLOCHRY TODAY
It will remain cloudy all day, with rain from time to time. Much of the rain locally will be fairly light & there may be the odd drier spell, though a few moderate outbreaks can't be ruled out. There will be considerably higher rainfall totals in the far west of our region.  The wind will only be light to moderate at first., but during the afternoon, it will veer into the SW & strengthen, becoming near to gale force during the early- mid evening period. Those venturing further south, including Perth & Dundee, may find conditions a little more severe & potentially disruptive.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Remaining cloudy, with some further rain at times (much worse further west ) & very windy all night. Lowest temperature 9.

OUTLOOK
TUESDAY----Staying mostly cloudy, with some rain on occasions, perhaps more so later in the day. Rainfall amounts further west will give some very high totals. It will remain windy. Highest temperature 14 or 15.
WEDNESDAY----Broken cloud, sunny intervals, less windy, perhaps a shower or two. Colder overnight.
