THURSDAY 15th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
 The rainfall radar screens are blank; no rain anywhere in the British Isles. Unfortunately, no repeat of that situation during the next couple of days.  Today's highest temperature was 16.0.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some sunshine this evening & some clear spells tonight, though there will probably be more cloud around later in the night.Lowest temperature around 7 or 8.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY----A dry start seems likely, though skies will be rather cloudy. By lunchtime, outbreaks of rain are likely to spread in from the south west, though the rain should be intermittent to start with, with still a few dry intervals. The rain may become heavier & more continuous later. Maximum temperature 13 or 14.
SATURDAY----Low pressure close by, so rather unsettled. Some rain early, followed by some cloud breaks, sunny intervals & a few showers.Max.temp.14
SUNDAY----Low pressure to the east, winds from the north. A few showers likely, but also some sunny spells, with temperatures around 14. A chilly night likely.
