TUESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
The rain has carried on relentlessly in much of Western Scotland; very little has made it this far east, just 1.2mms having fallen since 0830Hrs. The highest temperature has been a rather below average 14.1.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A little more rain likely on occasions during the early part of the evening, but this should eventually die out, leaving a dry night with a few clear spells, lowest temperature around 7 or 8.

OUTLOOK
WEDNESDAY----It may start bright & dry, but there is a possibility that a rain area to the north could just  affect Pitlochry for a time. This forecast will need firming up in the morning. Further south should see a dry, bright day.
THURSDAY----Promises to be the best day of the week, dry with broken cloud & some sunny intervals, though temperatures no better than normal for mid-September.
