THURSDAY 8th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1930Hrs
It's been a pleasant day, with a reasonable amount of sunshine. The maximum temperature reached 17.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Cloud has filled in somewhat, at high & medium levels, heralding the approach of  a couple of warm fronts. These will bring mainly patchy & light rain to our area later on in the night. Mild, with temperatures staying close to 9 or 10.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY----The morning is likely to remain generally overcast, with a low cloud base & some rain at times. It is likely to become rather warm & humid & as cloud begins to lift & break to give some afternoon brightness, any sunshine could lift temperatures towards 18 or 19 as a maximum.
SATURDAY----Weather charts for Saturday, show a deep depression to the west of Ireland, with fresh S to SW winds ciculating round it. One or two fronts are scheduled to pass through, keeping conditions rather changeable.  So for the HIGHLAND GAMES, it is likely to be partly cloudy with some sunny intervals, but also a chance of a shower or two. Winds will be around force 4 or 5 from the S or SW & temperatures will peak at around 18 or 19, which is warm for early September.
