TUESDAY 6th SEPTEMBER

HEADLINES @ 0830Hrs
There wasn't as much rain as expected overnight, but plenty of wind & rain are forecast for much of Britain today, as a centre of low pressure, giving a steep pressure gradient, moves close by. Lots of lines on weather charts (isobars ) result in windy conditions. The direction of winds today is mainly W or SW.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A cool & windy day, with the weather charts looking decidedly unsettled, with barometers giving a low reading. There should be some sunshine at times this morning & probably few if any showers. However, this afternoon is likely to be mostly cloudy, with showers or longer spells of rain. Maximum temperature 15.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Cloudy with some rain at first, but gradually this should die out, with cloud breaking to give some late brightness. Much of the night should be dry with some clear intervals. Minimum temperature 9.

OUTLOOK
WEDNESDAY----A bright & breezy day, though a few showers are likely, especially during the afternoon. Feeling cool in the breeze, with highest temperature about 16.
THURSDAY----Broken cloud & some sunny intervals. Less in the way of breeze.  The odd shower is possible, but much of the day should remain dry.
