SUNDAY 11th SEPTEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1745Hrs
Ex hurricane Katia will be west of Ireland by midnight tonight, with a central pressure of 959mbs. By noon tomorrow, she will be to the N.W. of Scotland & by midnight Tuesday, over Shetland.  The strongest winds will be found some distance to the south of the centre, where the isobars are most tightly packed. Most British Isles sea areas have gale severe gale or storm warnings. One or two N.W.sea areas can expect a spell of force 11 winds.  Over land, the strongest winds are expected over an area from Ft. William across to the Tay, south to Cumbria to the Tees, probably between late afternoon to mid-evening.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Remaining overcast, with rain at times, mainly light & patchy, though possibly moderate at times early evening. Overnight, the rain will become heavier. It will be mild & winds from the south will become fresh. Minimum temperature 11.

MONDAY----Cloudy throughout, with rain at times, though far less than further west. There may be times when the rain is light & patchy. Winds will increase to give gales or severe gales later in the day, but there is every chance, that the highest gusts will occur further south. Best temperature about 14.
TUESDAY----Still windy, but skies should be more broken with some sunny intervals, though also some more cloudy, showery spells too. Feeling cool at 13.
