THURSDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Rather autumnal out there, with a nip in the air. This morning's rainfall radar shows dozens of showers out west & plenty of clear sky on the eastern side.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Lots of showers in the west & none near the east coast at present. Pitlochry is in the "border zone", so probably one or two showers, these mostly fairly light. Partly cloudy, with some sunny intervals at times, with more sunshine nearer to the East coast. A classic day for places like Perth & Dundee being 2 degrees warmer than Pitlochry (altitude + sunshine amounts ), so about 14 here & 16 in Perth & Dundee. Winds W to SW, mainly moderate, occasionally fresh.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The period should be dry to start with & there should be cloud breaks. Later on, it will become mainly cloudy, with a little patchy light rain. Temperatures holding up at 8.

OUTLOOK
FRIDAY----Cloudy & wet in the west. Mostly cloudy with a few patches of lightish rain around Pitlochry. Mostly dry near the East coast, with a few breaks in the cloud.
SATURDAY----Perhaps a little rain to start with on Saturday, then some dry periods, with sunny intervals & a touch milder.
