HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Mist, murk & drizzle out there & some snow & ice sticking around. The mild air hasn't yet reached us.  We are now at normal December rainfall total---any more we get is excess.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Dull, misty & murky, with rain early on, with the moderate stuff dying out to leave patchy drizzle. Perhaps some improvement during the afternoon, with some lifting of the cloud, but staying mainly cloudy. Winds picking up later from the SW. A thaw continuing, with maximum temperatures later in the day, perhaps making 6 or 7.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Cloudy & at times misty & murky, as milder air crosses frozen ground. Temperatures holding in the range 5 to 7, with the thaw of any lying snow continuing. Some mainly light & patchy rain likely too

THURSDAY
A much milder day from the start, though mainly cloudy with a fresh SW breeze. There will be rain at times, with greater amounts west of Pitlochry & somewhat drier further east. Maximum temperatures could approach double figures for the first time this month. Hopefully little snow left by the end of the day...
FRIDAY will be colder, but this swing back should only be temporary.
