TUESDAY 6th DECEMBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1630Hrs
It's been a very cold day, despite the lovely morning sunshine. The maximum temperature has only reached +1.0 & at 1630, it had fallen to -1.0. The afternoon became more cloudy, heralding the approach of a front from the south west.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
An area of occasional sleet & snow is approaching Pitlochry from the west. The sleet or wettish snow is most likely below about 100/150ms, with drier snow, giving accumulations, on all higher ground in the area. Light falls are probable before midnight. During the night, W winds are likely to strengthen & temperatures rise a little, but it should become mainly dry apart from the odd shower. Lowest temperatures at first.

WEDNESDAY
Probably a cloudy start, with some showers, but the day will improve later, with more broken cloud & some sunshine. It will be breezy from the W. but less cold than Tuesday, with maximum up to about 3.
