HEADLINES @ 1600Hrs
Following December's coldest night to date, came the month's coldest day to date, with a maximum of only +0.2  (Thank goodness we got the power back on! )   Fortunately, it was almost calm, so no wind chill effect. It was dry all day, with sunshine at times, though rather more cloudy as the afternoon went on.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There's already a frost, but as the evening wears on, fronts from the Atlantic will bring an increase in cloud & then some occasional rain  & perhaps sleet. Later in the night, some dry spells with clearing skies will develop, though with perhaps an odd shower or two. Probably a return of the frost, (which will have cleared temporarily when the rain arrives), by morning.

SUNDAY
Perhaps the morning will start with a few showers around, some wintry, but much of the day should turn out dry, with some sunny spells. It will be a little breezier than today, though the maximum temperature should be a couple of degrees up on todays.
