HEADLINES @ 1645Hrs
Much of the day has been dry, with only a few light snow flurries. The temperature only rose to 3.1 & by 1630 was back down to zero. Virtually every shower in Northern & Central Scotland fell as snow & many of the higher parts would have caught many centimetres. At present, it is beautifully clear, though there is still a breeze to stir the air up.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
This evening & tonight, it will be dry with clear spells for much of the time & temperatures may fall as low as -3 or -4. However, there is some likelihood that the odd snow shower will catch the area, so leaving a cm. or two by morning.

MONDAY
A very cold start, with some prospect of 1 or 2 cms of fresh snowfall. so the usual problems of frozen-up cars & slippery surfaces where they haven't been gritted.  Western areas will again be most prone to further snow showers, while eastern areas see the best of the dry, sunny conditions. There will continue to be a W or NW breeze & temperatures will struggle to reach above 1 or 2, with more frost by evening.
