HEADLINES @ 0930Hrs
It was Pitlochry's coldest night since March 18th, though -4 is hardly remarkable. Dec. 2011 is far removed from the temperatures we were experiencing  a year ago.  It looks like 3 very reasonable days ahead, but certainly NOT mild.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A dry, cold day ahead, with good spells of sunshine.  Very frosty at first, with ice on untreated surfaces & perhaps an odd mist patch in the valley bottom. Winds generally light. Maximum temperature may well be pegged back to about 1, with an inversion operating (i.e. the hills may have higher temperatures)

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Mostly dry, clear & frosty, with a low risk of an isolated snow shower. Minimum temperaturesaround -5 or -6.

WEEKEND
Mainly dry & cold with sunny spells. Temperatures should be in the range+ 3 to -6, with widespread sharp frosts. The odd snow shower is just possible.
