HEADLINES @ 1830Hrs
Today's mild & drizzly weather, would not have been everyone's cup of tea, many of us prepared to put up with cold & snow lying to get blue skies & sunshine. Nevertheless, it was nice to see the old snow away & the grass, plants & shrubs exposed again & the thermometer briefly in double figures.
The day's highest temperature was 10.2, Pitlochry's highest temperature sinve November 28th.  The Tummel was quite high with the rapid overnight snow melt.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Further light rain or drizzle for a time this evening. A cold front is due to cross the area around midnight, giving some rain briefly, but also introducing colder conditions as winds veer a little towards N.W. By dawn, temperatures may have fallen sufficiently to give a slight ground frost in the most prone spots.

FRIDAY
There will be more brightness around tomorrow, even some sunshine, with only a small chance of a shower, the bulk of the day being dry. The temperature, however, will reach nothing like 10, more like 5 at best. But this incursion of colder air is just temporary & it will become milder again for Christmas, so no snow for those dreaming of a white one!!
