HEADLINES @ 1830Hrs
The weather charts are looking very disturbed for much of the week, heralding some spells with strong winds, as well as some periods of rain/ sleet/ snow.  The top temperature today was 3.7, but a few icy patches proved very persistent.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some rain & perhaps wet snow will spread into the Pitlochry area this evening. Accumulations of snow are only likely above about 250 to 300ms. Later in the night, continuous rain is likely to be replaced by wintry showers, which could give light accumulations of wettish snow at lower levels by dawn, as temperatures fall close to freezing. Winds will be fresh at times from SE this evening & from SW later.

TUESDAY
The morning may be the better part of the day, with wintry showers but also some dry, brighter spells. Later in the afternoon & into the evening, there is likely to be a spell of sleet or snow. It will be a cold day with maximum yemperatures around 2 or 3, with strong winds.  There will be very severe conditions on the mountains, with blizzards.
