HEADLINES @ 1700Hrs
Just a few snow showers survived their passage over the Cairngorms & Grampians to reach Pitlochry as rain showers. At least it was dry for much of the time. The highest temperature only made 8.5, over 3 degrees below the seasonal norm.  Tonight promises to be cold, with lighter breezes, coupled with clear spells, allowing escape of heat into the atmosphere
You could be on car-scraping in the morning!

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
There could be an odd shower around at first this evening, but for the most part, it will remain clear with temperatures falling quickly. Minimum values close to zero & lower in frost prone sites. Some ground temperatures may approach -5

THURSDAY
A mainly dry day, though cloud tending to increase somewhat. There may be a little rain late in the day. Temperatures still below normal at around 8 or 9.
