For longer outlook periods, surface pressure charts, mountain weather & severe weather warnings, go to the Met Office's regional forecasts and click the relevant headings.

HEADLINES @1830Hrs
Morning was the better part of the day. During the afternoon, cloud lowered with some outbreaks of rain, especially around 1700 to 1800Hrs. The actual total of rain wasn't great, however--1.8mms from 0900H to 1830H.  Today's top temperature was 12.0.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Perhaps a little more rain to come at first this evening, though this shouldn't amount to much.  Most of the night will be mainly dry & cloudy & it will stay mild (lowest temp. about 9. )

MONDAY
A good start to the working week, with dry weather, broken cloud & some sunny intervals. A brisk S.E. breeze is expected & highest temperatures should reach 13.
