HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
The mild theme continues & I'm sure I will be reporting a warmer than normal October in the month's summary out tomorrow.  If you feel like some sunshine & temperatures up to 18 today, why not try the southern shores of the Moray Firth, from Inverness to Elgin? ----a particularly favoured area in today's conditions.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Often rather cloudy, with a little rain on occasions, but there should also be some drier, brighter spells too. Very mild, with a moderate to fresh southerly breeze & a maximum temperature of 15--well above average.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some rain spreading from the west, but clearing before dawn. Minimum temperature falling in the clearer conditions following the rain, to around 6.

TUESDAY
Looks like a dry day, with some sunshine, though feeling fresher. Particularly nice on the East Coast.
