MONDAY 24th OCTOBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @ 1730Hrs
It remained cloudy throughout, but all the rain that fell, (only 2.4mms), was confined to the morning. The top temperature was 11.9 degrees, still a little above the late October average.


THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Much of this period will remain cloudy, breezy & mild, with the minimum no lower than about 9. Late in the night, there are likely to be some outbreaks of rain, the start of quite a wet spell.

TUESDAY
Overcast & windy, with periods of rain, as a very slow-moving front hangs about over our area for much of the day. The Met Office expects some of this rain to be heavy & persistent, giving significant totals.
