TUESDAY 11th OCTOBER----EVENING

HEADLINES @1700 Hrs
A few nuisance-value showers around, mainly this morning. Cloud more broken with some sunshine this afternoon. Maximum temperature 11.7 (close to average )

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Some rain is likely to run across just to the south of us, so hopefully, we will escape, though cloud may increase. Cloud breaks later in the night likely to lead to chilly conditions by dawn. Minimum temperature about 3 or 4, with perhaps a touch of ground frost.

WEDNESDAY
High pressure becoming established to the north of Scotland, giving winds from the E to NE & making it a little cooler. Still not totally settled with a front giving some rain, particularly to the south of the area.Much of the time dry, with only the odd light shower. Highest temperature 10 or 11.
