TUESDAY 25th OCTOBER----EVENING

For longer outlook periods, surface pressure charts, mountain weather & severe weather warnings, go to the Met Office's regional forecasts and click the relevant headings.

HEADLINES @ 1900Hrs
Much less rain than originally expected in our area today. There were only 3.1mms, all of this fairly early in the morning.   I was amazed to see BBC 1 (SCOTLAND ) still predicting a wet afternoon over our area on their 1330H broadcast, when it had already been dry for over 2 hours.   Top temperature today was 12.5.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A dry period, with some breaking of the cloud sheet with time. Rather colder than recent nights, with the lowest value down to around 6 or 7.

WEDNESDAY
It should be a much more cheerful day, weatherwise, with broken cloud, some sunny intervals, mostly dry, but just the chance of an odd shower. Top temperatures should be around 11.
