HEADLINES @ 0800Hrs
A front has been moving to & fro for 48hrs, making detailed forecasting difficult. By 0500hrs, rain (with snow on the Cairngorms), reached its northern limit & it's now retreating south again. Clear skies before midnight, saw the coldest night so far this month (2.3 ).

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Soon becoming dry (1000H estimate ) but remaining mostly cloudy. Maximum temperature 10 or 11. Light winds.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Remaining mostly cloudy. Dry for much of the time; possibly a little light & patchy rain, amounting to little. Lowest temperature around 8.

THURSDAY
Mainly cloudy & predominantly dry. Perhaps the occasional patch of slight rain. Maximum temperature 11. Light winds.
A large high pressure system will be lying to the east.
