HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Coldest night to date in October, but thought it would have been colder (saved by rather more cloud hanging around ).

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A dry bright & nippy start. During the day, pressure will start to fall, southerly winds increase, cloud will begin to inccrease & by mid-afternoon, mainly light rain is likely to spread in. Temperatures are likely to struggle to reach about 7 or 8.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Much milder than the night just gone, but it will remain cloudy, with occasional, mainly light rain throughout. Minimum temperatures holding up at about 5. (When readings are made this morning, the minimum pin, when  reset, will  be lower than this value(,in fact 1.5) . It will then stay at that until readings are made again tomorrow morning, even though tonight's lowest temperature will not go down so low. Just one of those things about 24Hr observations---the normal with climate stations.
FRIDAY
A much milder & breezy day, with spells of rain, often light, occasionally moderate. A very wet day further west, much lower rainfall totals to the east & south east.
