WEDNESDAY 9th MARCH

HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
3cms of the white stuff this morning & if my wife's comments are anything to go by, I'll probably be in the "dog house"for predicting sleet showers, with snow on the higher ground. Anyway, I'm expecting rain this evening, so hopefully this unwelcome white carpet, pretty though it is, will be on its way out.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
It will be a cold, windy day, with a few snow showers around at first. There will also be some sunny spells. Any showers later this morning, are likely to be more sleety. By or during the evening, a spell of more prolonged rain or sleet is expected. Any snow will be confined to higher ground. Highest temperatures today will be around 5 degrees, so melting will go on.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A spell of rain expected,( possibly some sleet), clearing after midnight. Windy & showery later in the night. Minimum temperature around 2 degrees.

OUTLOOK  (to the weekend)
Generally unsettled, with rain or showers, some of the latter may be of a wintry mix. Feeling cold, with daytime temperatures around the 5 or 6 mark.
